Hardware Requirements

YAWCU runs under Windows or Linux and requires a NIC which can be set into the rf monitor mode. This mode allows capturing of WLAN traffic in promiscous mode. For Linux, the following cards have been reported to work:

• Cisco Aironet
• Prism II based cards
• Orinoco based cards

For Windows, you need a NIC which is supported by an Wildpacket's driver. A list of supported NICs can be looked up here

Software Requirements

YAWCU requires the following libraries to run:

• Linux / Windows: Boost library
• Linux: pcap libary / Windows: WinPcap Library
• Linux: ncurses library
• Linux: pthread library recommended
• Windows: peek5.sys peek.sys from Wildpacket's AeroPeek NX installation directory
